KEY INGREDIENTS

MORINGA OIL

Moringa Oil comes from the seeds of the Moringa Oleifera tree. Moringa Oil is naturally packed with nutrients that can have many benefits to the hair, such as adding moisture, improving shine & softness, reducing the appearance of frizz and strengthening the hair. Moringa Oil also has anti-inflammatory properties which is great for keeping the scalp healthy & hydrated.

ALOE VERA

Aloe Vera is considered a succulent plant species that has been known through history for it’s natural restorative properties, such as anti-inflammation & pH balancing. The gel inside of the Aloe Vera plant is full of antioxidants and enzymes that can benefit the hair & scalp by adding moisture, smoothing hair & minimizing scalp flakes.

QUINOA PEPTIDES

Quinoa is an ancient “pseaudograin” that is nutrient rich & considered a super food by many. Quinoa contains amino acids and antioxidants that can help strengthen the hair by acting as a protective barrier against future damage. It’s protein-rich nature delivers nourishment to the scalp & hair, leading to enhanced shine & manageability.

TXTUR PRODUCTS ARE FREE OF

SULFATE FREE

Sulfates are designed to remove dirt & oil from the hair, but they can also cause irritation, itching and strip the hair of its natural moisture. Sulfate free hair care products are designed to maintain your hair’s natural oils to help waves, curls & coils stay hydrated and frizz free.

PHTHALATE FREE

Phthalates in hair products act as a gelling agent, and provide bendable holding power. Heat can release these chemicals and studies suggest they are linked to various health concerns, especially hormonal disruptions which can contribute to hair fall (hair loss).

PARABEN FREE

Parabens can help preserve hair products, but are linked to many serious health conditions such as hormonal disruptions, chronic diseases and even cancers. In addition to causing irritation by being absorbed by the skin/ scalp, Parabens can also dry out curls, leading to more frizz & breakage to thirsty locks.

FORMALDEHYDE FREE

Formaldehydes are typically intended to act as a preservative, but they also can be included in hair straightening products. During the straightening process, this chemical can break down and be released as a carcinogenic gas. It can do a lot of damage to your natural curl patterns & make the hair more prone to breakage.

MINERAL OIL FREE

Mineral Oil is often added to hair care products as a very inexpensive moisturizing & slip agent. However, overuse can quickly cause excess build up on the scalp & hair, causing irritation and leaving an unhealthy environment for new hair growth. If products with mineral oil are not thoroughly rinsed out, the product build up can even cause hair loss.

ALCOHOL FREE

Alcohol in any form can have variable purposes for being in a hair product, such as helping to break down excess oils, preserving the fragrance used and even helping
to deliver conditioning agents to the hair making it feel softer. Alcohol can get a bad rep for drying out the hair, but in general, not
all alcohols are drying, or harmful. In fact, many forms of alcohol, when combined with other nourishing ingredients are unlikely to harm or dry out your strands.

SILICONE FREE

Silicones start from naturally derived materials, but after lab adjustments are actually synthetic. Like other ingredients, there are many different types and not all are considered “bad”. Some people frown upon the idea of silicones in products because they are synthetic and certain types can take longer to decompose in the environment. Silicones are generally added to hair care products because they create a barrier that helps retain moisture, which can add hair slip and enhance shine. That barrier also helps to resist heat and additional damage from styling. Silicones can also be especially helpful for people with damaged, dry, frizz- prone curls & coils because they help with detangling & softening the hair. It’s pretty common for certain types of silicones to be used in conditioning hair products because their lightweight nature performs well and can be rinsed out easily.
